Dodge brand ranks highest for overall satisfaction in J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Manufacturer Website Evaluation StudySM
Auburn Hills, Mich. - The Dodge brand website ranks highest in the industry for overall satisfaction among new-vehicle shoppers surveyed in the J.D. Power and Associates 2012 Manufacturer Website Evaluations StudySM (MWES) – Wave 2.
The Jeep® brand’s website ranked among the top five brands in the industry and the Chrysler brand ranked eighth among 34 listed brands.
“Consumers increasingly research vehicle purchases online, but the challenge is the variety of online options whether it’s from a tablet, cell phone or computer,” explained Tom Laymac, Head of Interactive Marketing, Chrysler Group LLC. “We’ve made significant updates to simplify the design, improve the navigation and help shoppers get to the product information faster whether it’s from a computer screen or mobile device.”
Although the Ram, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Fiat websites each have a unique, brand-specific appearance, recent upgrades include common navigation strategies, more intuitive shopping-tool functions and enhanced speed. The upgrades to the Ram and Fiat websites were implemented after the study’s survey began in May.
The semiannual study measures the usefulness of automotive manufacturer websites during the new-vehicle shopping process by surveying consumers’ views about the content, navigation, appearance and speed, according to J.D. Power and Associates. It is based on survey responses from new-vehicle shoppers who indicate they will be in the market for a new vehicle within the next 24 months.
